Country star Taylor Swift graces the cover girl of Allure magazines April 2009 edition.
The singer’s sophomore album Fearless was #1 in the US pop album chart for 11 weeks, which seals her superstar status.
In her interview, Taylor talks about some difficult issues like weight and sex. Here are some extracts:
On weight: “Basically, if I’m indulging too much and not exercising enough, I can feel that. I can feel a change before I see it. For me, working out is not so I can stay skinny. It’s so that I can keep up my endurance so I’m not panting on stage. Heavy breathing is the worst when you’re in concert. You don’t want to see that, if you’re going to see a show.”
On staying quiet about her virginity: “It’s fine to talk about love publicly. But I think when you talk about virginity and sex publicly, people just automatically picture you naked. And as much as I can prevent people picturing me naked, I’m going to.”
On Fairy Tales: “I have always been fascinated with fairy tales… and the idea that Prince Charming is just one castle away. And you’re gonna run across a field and meet each other in the middle, and have an amazing, perfect movie kiss. And it’s all gonna be happily ever after.”
On writing that perfect break-up song: “For some reason, I could never, ever stop writing songs about heartbreak. Just because as human beings, what we can’t have is what we replay in our head over and over again before we go to sleep.”
After spending the weekend in Japan promoting Samantha Thavasa bags, Jennifer Lopez is already back in the US.
The diva was clearly over her jet-lag, as she dined with her husband at Cecconi’s in LA last night.
After checking out her cute ensemble, which included tapered pants, a black off-the-shoulder Thomas Wylde La Cruz top, a Streets Ahead studded belt, and Christian Louboutin multi buckle sandals, I wondered if she would prove me wrong, and carry a Samantha Thavasa bag.
Nope. Instead she carried a Valentino Petale studded tote.
We’ve seen Blake Lively carrying this tote sans studs on the Gossip Girl set, but Jennifer’s bag has a harder, rock n’ roll edge, with the multiple studs.
The retail price of the bag is $4,495, which I guess is enough to buy quite a few Samantha Thavasa bags
Miley Cyrus arrived at the Kids Choice Awards earlier this weekend looking amazing in a simple white tier floor length Sheri Bodell dress.
Miley flashed a smile on the orange carpet before heading into the event to get slimed!
Let’s hear it for the Gucci love! First Lindsay Lohan showed off her Gucci monogrammed handbag, and now Kate Moss, of all people – seriously, when does she ever carry non-black purses? – has busted out a Gucci bag of her own. Clearly going for a nautical look with her striped top and red and blue-accented purse, Kate seems quite in tune with the season, and it’s nice to see her shake her style up a bit. What do you think? Do you prefer Gucci’s monogram bag to Louis Vuitton’s?

Hilary Duff really wants to be a mini-mogul. The 21-year-old singer/actress is currently working on a new fashion line in collaboration with a DKNY.
Her new collection is called Femme for DKNY Jeans.
In a new interview, Hilary said that “One of the hardest things is to come up with a name. But I think Femme works really well and explains the line perfectly as feminine but tough all at the same time. It’s aggressive, but in a good way.”
This is Hilary’s second attempt at fashion. About five years ago she released Stuff by Hilary Duff, which is now being phased out.
She said about her previous line, “I’ve lost interest in it, and I’m ready to move on and do other things. I feel like the brand was for younger girls, and I want to do things for girls my own age now. I’ve been learning so much about how the process happens from how much certain things cost to shipping schedules – it has been an amazing learning experience.”
The Femme line will launch this fall in stores and is set to be sold for two seasons with the option to extend the agreement if it sells well.
There are some celebrities that look amazingly put together whenever they step outside, carrying off any style with elegance and grace. And then … there are those celebrities that don’t!
Instead of focusing on the red carpet events, I chose to pick the celebrities as they go casual. Because then you can’t really blame their stylist!
Here are my top five worst dressed celebrities:
Kim Kardashian recently found herself on the Grammy Awards worst dressed list, but I think Kim fails when it comes to casual wear as well. She and Kourtney were spotted getting their nails done in Beverly Hills earlier this year and Kim’s shirt didn’t quite cover her leggings. She has to keep pulling it down, and I don’t even want to know what the view from behind looked like! Maybe the outfit looks better with those boots she’s carrying, but somehow I doubt it.
Amy Winehouse is always a train wreck, so it’s no surprise that her wardrobe leaves us cringing! What can I say about this particular outfit, other than it looks like she yanked most of the items from a poor, unsuspecting, homeless person. And her headwear keeps reminding me of I Love Lucy. The only thing she has going for her are those brand new ballet slippers that she picked up that very day, and they’re already starting to look trashed.
Courtney Love is another one of those celebs who finds herself on every worst dressed list imaginable! Whether she’s heading to the red carpet or headed to the store, Courtney just can’t seem to get it right. Perhaps that’s what we love about her? I happen to particularly love this ensemble. The purple crown makes me think she’s headed off to Chuck E. Cheese!
Mary Kate Olsen can be oh-so-adorable when she wants to be. But she only gets it right about half of the time! I’m not sure what is up with this dress, but she lost her neck. I think she forgot the shoulder pads went down with the 80s – and these ones look like they belong on a football player.
Lindsay Lohan was spotted leaving Samantha Ronson’s house earlier this year in an outfit that makes me cringe! Lindsay has also made her fair share of worst dressed lists, and I have to admit to being sick of seeing her in black leggings and baggy shirts. And honestly – that jean vest has to go! I realize the 80s are coming back in style, but this is about as unflattering as it gets.
