Yes, that is Victoria Beckham carrying a handbag besides an Hermes Birkin, and no, they’re not building igloos in hell. Sometimes a gal can get bored carrying the same pricey-as-heck designer handbag day in and day out, no matter how many colors she has to choose from. Frankly, I’m delighted to see Vicky give this dove gray Loewe purse some love; she also has an ostrich-skin bag from the Spanish label. And guess what – her outfit is Loewe too. I hope Hermes is sitting down.

There’s something really depressing about the fact that Lindsay Lohan has an Hermes Birkin (in that signature Hermes orange, natch) and I don’t. The starlet joined back-on gal pal Samantha Ronson for a night out on the town, showcasing new blonde locks that don’t look nearly as good as her natural red. I love the purse, of course, but the orange and blue don’t really work that well. And Lindz – can we please ditch those Alexander Wang booties now?

Too. Many. Jokes. Okay, so I won’t comment on Playmate Holly Madison’s affair with that lollipop, but I will dish about her Louis Vuitton Murakami Monogram purse – it’s super-cute! I’ve long had a fondness for this playful print, and it’s so appropriately youthful and fun for a trip to the candy store, don’t you think? Let’s just hope the poor gal doesn’t go into sugar shock.

Aw, isn’t it cute to see Christina Aguilera smooching her adorable son Max? She’s certainly come a long way from “Dirrrty.” And in addition to little Max, Christina has some other precious arm candy in the form of her Alexander Wang Donna Hobo, the current purse of choice for pop starlets like Rihanna and Fergie. The slouchy shape is trendy and functional to boot – letting Christina simply throw it over cross-body style and freeing up her hands for baby snuggling.

Truth be told, I’d be more enthusiastic about the revival of “Melrose Place” if hottie Andrew Shue were returning with it. But no matter. Let’s talk about fashion, shall we? New resident Ashlee Simpson Wentz partied in a darling platinum Jill Stuart playsuit (sex-AY!) paired with a chic white Dolce & Gabbana clutch and a vintage-y string of pearls. Love the purse, love the clothes, love the look. Let’s just hope her character is half as fashionable.

I’m confused – what season is it? Judging by Katherine Heigl’s floaty green dress, I’d say summer or spring. But that tall brown boots and chunky knit cardigan are definitely autumn/winter. At least the Marc Jacobs Robert Lexie in bright yellow gets it right. Though definitely not as versatile as Heigl seems to think it is, this punchy print purse is an exuberant, spotlight-stealing number that’s great for summer. This outfit, however, not so much.
