EmmyR

Emmy Rossum best known for her role on Shameless is a girl who is constantly on the go. She is often photographed at LAX and she usually looks fantastic while she is working. She showed her fashion prowess again over the holidays with the Christian Louboutin Farida Tote which she has had for a little while now we first saw her with it in 2013. It is always great to see a celebrity who uses a bag more then once and looks fashionable while doing it.

jessica Alba

Jessica Alba hasn’t been in any movies lately but she is promoting her book, causing her to fly around for appearances. That’s why she was spotted at the airport without her husband or adorable kids in tow. And what’s an airport appearance without showing off a brand new travel tote?

While Louis Vuitton has cornered the market on travel bags and Louboutin is mainly known for extremely high-heeled shoes, this tote is by the latter. It’s called the Christian Louboutin Farida Snakeskin Shopping Tote and it doesn’t really look much like a Louboutin. Instead of being plain yet edgy like the heels, it’s more wild and full of mismatched prints.

January Jones & Christian Louboutin
A couple of years ago, January Jones became one of America’s biggest TV stars as Betty Draper. Her street style in L.A. is a lot more casual than Betty’s polished 60’s look but this bag is a little bit of a throwback to the style of the era.

Called the “Farida messenger bag”, this is actually by the famous designer Christian Louboutin. Did you even know he makes noteworthy bags? Neither did we, til now. The simple, minimalist shape lets the deep, striking color be what the bag is all about. If you like understated accessories and have a penchant for statement hues, you’ll love the Farida.

Rihanna The Golden Girl at The Grammys

Rihanna seems to have the golden touch these days. Her songs fly to the top of the chart as soon as their released, her magazine covers sell well and she has made quite the fashion splash recently with bold and daring hairstyles and outfits.

So it seems fitting that she carried a golden Jimmy Choo clutch on the Grammy red carpet, and continued carrying it throughout the course of night.

She held it firmly in her hand as she went to a Grammy party and then took it with her as the night winded down and she grabbed a bite to eat at Giorgio Baldi’s in Santa Monica, CA.

She looked gorgeous on the red carpet as she paired her golden Jimmy Choo clutch with a low cut, high slit silk Armani dress. It showed off her enviable figure and strappy Christian Louboutin stilettos.

Her clutch, the Jimmy Choo Tube Mirror Clutch Bag, in the col or gold, retails for $1150.00. It can be purchased at any Jimmy Choo retailer or on the Jimmy choo website.

Christian Louboutin seeing red over Christian Dior's red-soled shoe collection

The ridiculousness continues…

Court papers filed on Tuesday show Louboutin got information from a private investigator who said Christian Dior was planning to launch a red-soled shoe collection next season. The PI was hired to find information on the YSL case, but instead found information about Dior. Louboutin will not press charges against Dior, and Dior denies the claims.

The case against YSL presses on, with remarks from both sides getting snippier by the second. YSL says:

“Louboutin’s trademark should have never been granted…We just don’t think that any fashion designer should be able to monopolize any color.”

While Louboutin’s team shot back and said the claim was “utter rubbish” and “unless you are living in a cave” the consumer recognizes a red sole as a Louboutin. But don’t worry, Louboutin doesn’t claim to own every red under the sun. Louboutin’s lawyer Harley Lewin said:
“We are not claiming to own every red under the sun. There’s a particular red that Christian uses on his shoes, a bright, lacquered red. We aren’t saying burgundy or orange-red, we aren’t saying pink. We don’t own any other red but that red.”

The case will be decided on Friday by New York judge Victor Marrero.

YSL Issues Rebuttal In Louboutin 'Red Soles' Lawsuit

It’s the fashion eye-roll seen ’round the world: in April,Christian Louboutin, one of fashion’s most iconic shoemakers, filed a lawsuit against fashion house Yves Saint Laurent for manufacturing shoes with Louboutin-style red soles. Louboutin trademarked his red varnished heels back in 2008 and is seeking $1 million in damages (which we calculated to be the equivalent of 250 pairs of Louboutin shoes).

The most recent courtroom update involves an arguably snarky rebuttal from YSL, essentially pooh-poohing Louboutin’s claims. According to The Daily Mail, Louboutin claims to be “the first designer to develop the idea of having red soles on women’s shoes,” in spite of the fact that YSL has used scarlet soles on select shoe styles since the ’70s — long before Louboutin’s innovation in 1992.

Court papers filed by YSL state that “Louboutin was fradulent in his trademark application claim that he had ‘exclusive’ use of the red sole:

“Red outsoles are a commonly used ornamental design feature in footwear, dating as far back as the red shoes worn by King Louis XIV in the 1600s and the ruby red shoes that carried Dorothy home in The Wizard of Oz.”

Louboutin also went head-to-head, or heel-to-heel, with Brazilian shoemaker Carmen Steffens for producing shoes with his “signature” soles. In both lawsuits, Louboutin claims that the other designers’ red-soled shoes are being mistaken for those by Louboutin, creating a false identity for his company.
