Salma Hayek was recently spotted arriving at Venice Marco Polo Airport with her daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault and her husband Francois-Henri Pinault for the Venice Film Festival.
Salma looked fabulous in a Balenciaga Pre-Fall printed dress and mustard colored crocodile bag also by Balenciaga.
Facing the genius that was Alexander McQueen, maybe, people will realize what they have before losing it! Other than gorgeously wearing the Spring Summer 2010 McQueen dress on the cover of InStyle, Salma’s inside interview touches her family and fashion interests. Married to fashion mogul Francois-Henri Pinault, Salma is, more than ever, tied to fashion. That makes her opinion even more relevant. But who am I kidding? I still believe the more relevant thing until now is her McQueen cover!
Mommy duty doesn’t seem to have affected Salma Hayek’s style – she looks glam and oh so coordinated in a red and black ensemble (check out that leather skirt!) accented by a cherry-red Gucci New Jackie handbag. The New Jackie is Gucci’s reigning celeb-loved status bag right now, so who can blame Salma for wanting in on the action? Hopefully daughter Valentina is taking notes for later.
At this point, I think it’s safe to say that every legitimately famous person in Hollywood, and maybe so not-so-legitimately famous ones, have a Bottega Veneta Knot Clutch in their collections.
Our most recent Knot Clutch lover is Salma Hayek who, like many other stars, chose to carry hers to a red carpet event. Sadly, despite my unending love for Salma and my deep respect for her anti-gravity chichis, I think that her Bottega Veneta clutch is easily my favorite part of the outfit we’re seeing here. The combination of the velvet’s texture and color doesn’t do her skin tone any favors, and she’s got such a great body that a different shape would be so much more flattering. Maybe she’s trying to tone it down a bit now that she’s a mommy of an adorable little munchkin, but I still think she could do better. She’s on the right track with her clutch, though.
