When your wife is Kim Kardashian we imagine it can be pretty tricky to find a birthday present, for it seems this sexy lady has the whole world at her feet. This former PA and former fashion stylist to Lindsey Lohan has certainly come a long way thanks to the reality TV show “keeping up with the Kardashian” …
Oh, Lady Gaga. You never fail to amuse us. This time the crazy pop star’s questionable outfit choice is an homage to her late friend and designer Alexander McQueen. He was known for his jaw-dropping, over the top creations. The cool thing about McQueen’s creations is that they weren’t shocking for the sake of shock value – they were designed to be beautiful as well. Maybe that’s why Lady Gaga looks glamorous in spite of the nutty hat she’s got perched on her head. Because her bag is a well-crafted McQueen, she still looks uber stylish.
It looks like a patent leather tote and what makes it different is the unique honeycomb pattern. In fact, it’s called the Alexander McQueen Honeycomb Heroine Satchel. She sure does look like a heroine – one from a futuristic, dark comic book.
Jessica Alba and her style has been on our radar for a very long time. Not to say she isn’t talented, she did a spectacular job in The Fantastic 4 and Awake. Its just that she is so pretty and so much like us normal folk. She has kids, and she has a company for children and babies, making perfect products for parents to use when they’re raising our children.
Juggling her company, acting, and family life, Jessica Alba always looks so put together. Her busy life is why we think she chose the Alexander McQueen whipstiched shopper. It has a tremendous amount of space in it and is very durable. Its functional, yet stylish. It can go with any everyday outfit because of its neutral colors and design. Even Rachele Zoe chose this bag for her diaper bag when she had a baby.
Kim Kardashian was spotted with her sister Kourtney hitting up a local Health Food market in the East Village while filming her new reality television show.
Kim looked fabulous wearing a rich red sleeveless dress with a cut out peplum and pleated A-line skirt from the Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2011 collection.
Kim paired her chic dress with a Jimmy Choo “Candy” clutch and snakeskin mary jane platform pumps by Christian Louboutin.
Planting a garden filled with mint, kale, basil, and salvia isn’t the only way Gwyneth Paltrow is getting ready for the warmer weather.
In the 38-year-old star’s latest post on her healthy-living website GOOP.com, she shares her spring fashion picks.
But dressing like the actress, author and lifestyle guru is going to cost you: $18,301 to be exact.
Paltrow, who is known for her super chic style, teamed up with luxury online retailer Net-a-Porter to put together six outfit concepts revolving around key wardrobe “basics” including a $785 Stella McCartney jersey tank dress, a $1840 Chloe silk jacket, and a $90 Kain T-shirt. The least expensive item is a Splendid cotton tank for $44.
The svelte star, who poses in each look (including a bikini), calls her sartorial picks “great pieces which are versatile enough to wear to the office and during your summer leisure time.”
This is all great but Gwyneth forgot to give her readers an alternative in pricing and now they are asking for it. If she can team up with net-a-porter.com I’m sure she could do the same with more affordable brands like COACH… especially since she’s their New Brand Ambassador! Most of us can spend $300 on a new bag but $3000 could make some people lose sleep at night… just saying.
After months of speculation, the designer behind Kate Middleton’s wedding dress has finally been revealed!
The soon-to-be Duchess of Cambridge walked down the aisle in a stunning lace Alexander McQueen wedding gown designed by Sarah Burton.
Kate completed her look with a simple veil held in place by a Cartier “halo” tiara lent to her by the Queen and diamond earrings, a gift from her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.
The official Royal Wedding website says the bride chose Sarah Burton and the the house of McQueen “for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing”.
The site adds:
“Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises Alexander McQueen’s work. Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress.”
The dress itself features a lace applique of hand-cut flowers on the bodice and skirt made by the Royal School of Needlework.
All fabrics used were made by British companies and included English lace and French Chantilly lace, ivory and white satin gazar with the underskirt made of silk tulle trimmed with Cluny lace.
The back of the custom McQueen gown was finished with 58 gazar and organza covered buttons fastened by Rouleau loops.
Kate also wore hand-made McQueen shoes made of ivory duchesse satin with lace hand-embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework.
