Stop…HAMMER TIME. Fergie’s attempt to bring Hammer pants back from the dead fell with a big thud (thank God!), and those blue-trimmed shades didn’t fare much better. On the bright side, Fergie did earn some style points for pairing this disastrous look with Alexander Wang’s Donna Hobo, the bag du jour for rocker girls. But seriously…who the hell let her out of the house like this?

She’s baaaaaaack. Laguna Beach’s reigning queen bee is heading to “The Hills” take over for the departing Lauren Conrad, and darn if she doesn’t seem to be relishing every moment. I have to say, I LOVE her outfit. The striped dress with a shrunken blazer is nautical, summery, and simply chic in a Parisan sense, and can we give it up for those suede sandals? But what I really adore is Kristin’s Alexander Wang purse with its gold-studded base. So hip, so cool, and such a departure from Lauren’s classic Chanels!

Sheesh. Seems like all you ever hear about is Lindsay Lohan being out of work, and yet every time I see her the girl is carrying yet another fancy designer handbag. What gives? Lindsay’s latest designer purse score is Alexander Wang’s uber-popular Donna Hobo in denim leather. It’s very ’80s chic, which means it’s not for everyone. I dig the bag when it’s worn with the right look, but I don’t think Lindsay’s sloppy black dress and fringed sandals (gag) are doing it for me.

Stop. Turn around. Let’s see if we can’t find something better lurking in that closet of yours, Fergie. The pop star had a rare style misstep in this too-long, too-slashed-up black tunic thrown over gray skinny jeans. Throw in fringed bracelets and the indie downtown purse du jour, Alexander Wang’s Donna bag, complete with black leather, two front pouches, and heavy zipper details, and you’ve got a look that screams “rock chick.” I’m all for that – and I dig the handbag – but that top has got to be 86′ed.

That Alexander Wang is certainly getting around. In addition to being a favorite with indie “it” girls like Erin Wasson and Alice Dellal, his designs are also getting play with more mainstream starlets like Rihanna and, now, Fergie, who paired his Donna Hobo with her rock-influenced skinny jeans, black top, and sexy cut-out heels. I think this look is a slam-dunk–hip and rock star-ish without looking costumey or contrived.

Who knew Kelly Osbourne had a political streak? The rock royal joined her boyfriend to protest California’s Proposition 8 ban on gay marriage, and she brought her black Alexander Wang Donna Hobo along for the ride. Sporting two large pouches and a prominent zip down the middle, the handbag is a recent favorite among the downtown crowd. Kelly may have lost the good fight, but she’s a style winner in our book.
