Jane Birkin’s namesake Hermes bag sold for big bucks on eBay.

The charity auction opened on April 6th at the low, low price of $2000, but skyrocketed to $162,840 by the time bidding closed this week.

That’s a lot of money for a bag that may have been sat on by her cat, but at least it’s going to a good cause. All the proceeds from Jane’s Birkin is being donated to the British Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.
