Looking like a 1920s silver screen siren, Katy Perry sexes up the cover of Vanity Fair’s June 2011 issue. The usually multi-colored “Firework” singer toned it down for the magazine’s photo shoot, which was shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. Katy appears glam and sultry in a short black bob, red lips, and a nude (and very talented) body suit. She almost looks like a hot antique gilded floor lamp, and we mean that in the best way possible. (You’re welcome for your new pick-up line, BTW.)

Inside the issue, Katy opens up about her religious upbringing, her marriage to Russell Brand, and what it takes to make Katy Perry Katy Perry. “It takes a village to make me who I am… You don’t have to wake up looking like, you know, Gisele,” Katy says.

We hear you, Katy, but it’s not like your hair and makeup people are exactly working with the Elephant Man or anything. You’ve got a pretty good blank canvas, and we love it when it’s stripped down like this. More, please!

Russell Brand and wife Katy Perry were spotted leaving their New York hotel yesterday afternoon April 8, 2011.

Russell is carrying their cat in a Gucci Pet Carrier and wearing a black fringed edge Skull Scarf by Alexander McQueen. Katy looks like she is trying to hide behind a pink blanket and is carrying her black Chanel Classic Flap bag.

The two had been in New York to promote Russell’s movies Arthur and HOP.

Who still loves their Paddington? Apparently, pop star Katy Perry still does. She always looks great no matter what the occasion, and of course, wherever she goes you’re sure to spot a designer bag in hand. For this event she made a great choice of bringing along a gold metallic handbag, and it’s not just any ordinary gold bag, it’s an infamous Chloe Paddington. Just when you thought the Paddington was so yesterday, Miss Katy Perry is bringing it back. Of course being a gorgeous shade of sparkly gold, this is definitely something that can be worn year round, and it’s also a great satchel to fit your casual day to dressy night look. There’s no need for jewelry when you’re sporting something as flashy as the metallic Paddington, and it seems like Katy was aware of that as well.

She sat next to Rihanna at the Karl Lagerfeld ready-to-wear show. Rihanna was overheard affectionately calling Katy a whore. Fierce glove, RiRi! Sitting second row were Rihanna’s styling team, Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi.

Sorry, girls, but it’s gonna take more than some cherry chapstick to woo Katy Perry these days. The singer is reportedly loved up wih British comedian/notorious man-skank Russell Brand (seen here). Personally, I’d rather spend a wild weekend with Katy’s foxy black Chanel purse, which works nicely with her black and white ensemble. The girl may have dubious taste in men, but she knows a good purse when she sees it.

Watch out, girls. With that giant metallic pink snakeskin embossed clutch from Lulu Guinness, Katy Perry looks ready to do some heavy lip-locking. Though the peacock dress is a bit of an eyesore, the clutch is campy and fun, and definitely suits Katy’s wacky style. I’d love to take it out to a party, either in this pink version or the sleeker silver. But I’ll leave my cherry chapstick at home, thank you very much.
