Judging by the way Leighton Meester playfully handled her Stella McCartney SS2012 bag while shooting scenes for Gossip Girl this week, she’s in love with the minimalist chic design of the purse. The gold chain strap makes the vintage-looking bag a little trendy and in line with Blair’s fashion sense.
The bag is just the thing you’d see fashionistas cavorting with on LookBook. Even Kate Moss is often seen careening through London’s trendiest districts with her favorite Stella McCartney black clutch.

It’s just another classic in Blair’s wardrobe – the put together society girl always manages to look sweet and vixen-ish at the same time. Kudos to Blair’s stylists!
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we’re going green with our purse today. Green may be a color we’re used to seeing all day on March 17, but it is predicted that green purses are going to be big for spring, summer and fall of 2012. We have already seen several celebrities carrying green purses and that trend continues with this months “it” bag. We’ve seen it being worn be several celebrities, such as Miranda Kerr, Leighton Meester, Lily Collins and Jessica Alba. These beautiful brunettes have both been spotted carrying the Small Bvlgari Shoulder bag in emerald green.
The Small Bvlgari Shoulder bag is part of the Bvlgari Serpenti 2012 line. The bag is made out of calf leather and features light gold plated hardware, a jeweled snake head front closure and a gold chain, designed to look like a snake body. While the style and shape of the bag is nothing we haven’t seen before, the snake head closure and chain certainly add uniqueness, intrigue and interest. The bag retails for $1700 and is sold exclusively at Bvlgari’s boutique stores and on their website.

Leighton Meester is Fall Fabulous with Her Nina Ricci Handbag and a Louis Vuitton Scarf
I don’t know what I want more – Leighton Meester’s leopard-print Louis Vuitton scarf or her cream Nina Ricci Besace Flap Bag. Eh, why not both? The “Gossip Girl” star bundled up in style, and the stylish A-list accessories really help her black winter coat take it up a notch. All she needs now is one of Blair’s headbands!

I think we’ve seen more Valentino bags worn by the characters of Gossip Girl this year than basically any other designer. Taylor Momsen carried one to the Halloween party, Hilary Duff wore one when she first met Dan, and Blake Lively had one on her arm when she met KC, her eventual boss. Not only that, but an entire plot point in last week’s episode centered around Leighton Meester striking up a friendship with a call girl named Brandeis just because she saw her carrying a Valentino bag in a coffee shop. But it finally looks like Leighton has a Valentino 360 Hobo all to herself.
What’s our favorite prepster Blair Waldorf up to these days? Rocking a killer black Chanel purse, of course. Actress Leighton Meester was on the “Gossip Girl” set looking stylish as always in a plaid jacket, wild red pumps, and a slightly Girl Scoutish scarf/beret combo. The petite Chanel bag is just the icing on the cake, don’t you think?
