
What a Christmas it must be for Warner Bros. execs as fashion giant, Louis Vuitton slapped them with a lawsuit due to the use of counterfeited luggage in their box-office movie: “Hangover 2″.
LV is suing Warner Bros for not having permission to use its precious and valuable trademark and is asking the court to grant an order to destroy all copies of the Hangover II and promotional materials that contain the airport scene with the fake bag. Louis Vuitton also wants profits from the film and triple damages.
It’s possible, of course, that the lawsuit is simply a publicity stunt to draw attention to piracy. If so, it’s working.

When she first traveled to Cambodia several years ago, Angelina Jolie had no idea how much the country would come to mean to her.
She explains her love for the country and it’s personal significance while in the Siem Reap province as cameras roll in her new mini-film for Louis Vuitton’s Core Values advertising.
The 36 year-old actress shared her memories of seeing the country for the first time when she was an actress on the Tomb Raider set and later as a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador.
Jolie describes how she was unaware that live landmines still dotted the countryside and that the extreme poverty but the beauty of the country and the people captured her heart.
The actress goes on to share how she met and decided to adopt her son Maddox and that he and younger brother Pax have developed a taste for snacking on crickets.
The 10 minute ad is cut between Jolie’s personal recollections and the gorgeous cinematography of the quiet landscape and people of Cambodia.

It’s official, Angelina Jolie is the new face of Louis Vuitton. She’s been spotted in Cambodia shooting with Annie Leibovitz. The ads are for the brand’s Core Values campaign and Angelina was reportedly paid $10-million for a series of print ads.
The reason for choosing Cambodia is clear. Angelina’s first son Maddox was adopted from there and the location is near and dear to her heart. However, unlike other philanthropic engagements, this one is promoting a luxury lifestyle inaccessible to majority of the people who live in the country.

E! Online reports that she’ll get paid “close to $10 million” for the deal, believed to be the most lucrative of her career. The print-only campaign will reportedly launch this summer and will be advertised worldwide.
It is also being reported that famed photographer Annie Leibovitz will be taking the photos within the next couple of weeks.
A rep from Louis Vuitton had no comment on the possible new deal.
Jolie recently ended her contract with St. John, and collaborated on a jewelry line with Robert Procop, which benefits children who are victims of national conflict.
Past endorsers of Louis Vuitton include Jennifer Lopez and Madonna.
