Probably too many but Mischa Barton looked dressed to kill in her aviator shades, black coat and gorgeous Chanel quilted handbag. She could be wearing a Hefty bag with that purse and she’d still look awesome thanks to the Chanel’s gold touches and elegant design. Some girls have all the luck.

Mischa Barton is locked in a legal battle with an Australian handbag company, after the firm opposed the star’s move to trademark her name in the country.

The former The O.C. actress wants to trademark her name, signature and logo Down Under but she has been met with opposition from Queensland-based Mischa Accessories. Lawyers for the firm have registered an objection with the IP Australia register in a move that could prevent Barton from safe-guarding her name.

The case follows a trademark battle between singer Katy Perry and her Australian namesake Katie Perry, who runs a clothing line in the country.The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker’s legal team took the designer to court in July (09) over the right to use the name, but abandoned the case just an hour before it was due to be heard by a judge in Canberra, Australia.

It’s been a rough month for Mischa Barton, who’s just emerged from a stint in the hospital. Considering all she’s been through, Mischa looks pretty good, walking her dog in a fringed white vest (how very rock and roll) paired with a chic black Dior handbag. It’s an odd combo, but the bag is pretty amazing. What do you think?
